Kim Dong-ho, former director of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), will be awarded France's highest honor, the Legion of Honor, on Thursday in recognition of his contribution to developing cultural cooperation between South Korea and France, the culture ministry said.
Kim, a former vice culture minister who now chairs South Korea's presidential advisory panel on cultural prosperity, will receive the medal during a reception marking the opening of this year's BIFF, it said.
