Security checkpoints have been deployed at the entrances of Tripoli especially from the eastern and southern sides after a group of militants were seen in the areas of Wadi el Rabie, Salahuddine and near Tripoli airport, a security source said.
Three strong explosions shock Tripoli on Friday night and billows of smoke were seen rising from the zoo in Abu Selim area in Tripoli where an armed group has taken as a premises.
The presidential council has warned against attempts of some armed groups to create chaos and violence to the capital in a bid to oppose any political agreement or reconciliation among Libyan rivals.
