Militants Attack Pakistani Jail, Free Prisoners

Hundreds of prisoners managed to escape when unidentified miscreants attacked Pakistan's Bannu Central Jail. 
Some unidentified miscreants attacked Pakistan's Bannu Central Jail last night with heavy weapons and damaged walls and gate of the prison due to which Hundreds of prisoners managed to escape, according to Pakistan's (Dunya) News. The jail is located in Bannu, a town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which borders Pakistan's volatile tribal areas.
Three jail officials were injured during exchange of firing with the attackers. Heavy contingents of FC and police reached the site after the incident. According to details, the attackers equipped with heavy weapons and hand grenades attacked the Bannu Central Jail building from all sides. 
The walls and gate of the prison were damaged in the attack as a result hundreds of prisoners, involved in heinous crimes, managed to flee. 
Exchange of firing between attackers and jail officials also took place in which three officials received injuries who were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Heavy contingents of FC and police reached the site of the incidents and blocked all the routes around the jail. The jail administration is reluctant to name the group behind the attack.
