At least seven commanders of the Taliban group were killed in an airstrike in southern Helmand province in Afghanistan, the Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
Another Taliban commander was killed in an improvised explosive device blast in Kunduz province, northern of Afghanistan.
The ministry added that the airstrike was carried out in Garamser district, leaving seven Taliban commanders dead and seven fighters wounded.
