Supply police have launched security campaigns nationwide to control markets and arrest those trading on the black market.

The campaigns were launched upon directives by Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar.

Some 56 tons of rice and 344,000 liters of gasoline were seized nationwide before being sold on the black market.

Two persons were also arrested for selling 350 cylinders of butane gas and 70 tons of flour on the black market.

All legal procedures were taken and the public prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
