The council of the municipality of Fez has unanimously approved the construction of several developments totaling MAD 340 million.

During its February regular session chaired by Fez mayor Idriss Azami Al Idrissi on Wednesday, the council confirmed that these projects will include the construction of a large theater for the city estimated at MAD 100 million, a convention center at MAD 100 million, an Institute of Fine Arts at MAD 60 million, and a museum at MAD 80 million.

The council also approved two cooperative agreements aimed at buying transportation vehicles and surveillance cameras for the city, in addition to the allocation of 100 low-cost residences for needy families as part of the national program “Cities without Slums.”

The council also approved to provide street vendors with storefront space as part of its regulation of Fez.

These projects will be undertaken in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism, and the Wilaya of the Fez-Meknes region.
