Alexandria and Dekheila ports were closed due to bad weather and high waves, the Alexandria Ports Authority announced on Thursday.
The decision was taken to prevent any collision of ships and ensure safety of the maritime navigation, Head of the authority Medhat Attia said.
The vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the Mediterranean city has not been affected by the bad weather and a state of alert has been announced to prevent traffic congestion
