Government Treasury Bills issue 40 oversubscribed by 117%

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that this month’s BD 100 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 117%
The bills, carrying a maturity of 12 months, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The issue date of the bills is 28th December, 2017 and the maturity date is 27th December, 2018.
The weighted average rate of interest is 3.68% compared to 3.49%, for the previous issue on 30th November, 2017.
The approximate average price for the issue was 96.414% with the lowest accepted price being 96.324%.
This is issue No.: 40 (ISIN BH000286F194) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD 2.060 billion.
