Up to 43 people were killed after Syrian warplanes raided Jayrud city in southern Syria in the week hours of Sunday.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human rights (SOHR) said dozens others were injured in the air raid.

Meanwhile, thousands of protesters took to the streets at Jayrud, calling for expelling militants from the city.

Also, an agreement was reached to hand over the body of downed Syrian pilot Noras Hassan, who was captured and executed by militants earlier.
