Ain al-Arab on the border with Turkey

Nineteen Islamist militants and four Kurdish fighters were killed in confrontations in northern Syria on Tuesday, a Syrian monitoring group said.
Forces of the Kurdish Peopleآ’s Protection Unit (YPG) ambushed militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) at the eastern outskirts of Ain Al-Arab (Kobane) killing at least nine of them, the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR) said in a statement.
It added that clashes between YPG forces and and ISIL militants killed 10 terrorists and four Kurdish fighters.
The clashes took place as airstrikes launched by coalition countries continue to target ISIL positions in the eastern side of Kobane.
SOHR said four fighters of the Islamic Brigades were killed in clashes with government forces and its proxy gunmen in Ghouta, outside Damascus.
Meanwhile, opposition military factions met in southern Turkey to discuss coordination against government forces around Allepo central prison.
