Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

The London-based Syrian Observatory For Human Rights (SOHR) announced that one person was killed and 20 others were wounded during shelling by the regime troops to areas controlled by the opposition in eastern Damascus countryside.

Mortar shells injured 20 persons and most of them are in a dangerous condition, Al Arabiya News Channel quoted the SOHR as saying.

At least one person was killed, it noted.

For his part, the SOHR Head Rami Abdulrahman underlined that the recent clashes represent a great escalation as the regime forces announced a temporary truce last week which has not been effective.
