Iraqi forces on Tuesday liberated the headquarters of Anbar Operations Command, north of Ramadi, from Daesh control.

An Iraqi military statement said that Daesh militants were expelled from the headquarters after completing the liberation of Tameem district.

The Iraqi army will enter the region to prevent Daesh militants from restoring it, the statement added.

Meanwhile, 17 Daesh militants were killed when Iraqi strikes targeted four vehicles in Salahuddin province, the statement said.
