A car bombing took place in central Iraqi capital Baghdad on Friday, a well-placed security source reported.

The bomb exploded in Karrada neighborhood in Baghdad, the source said.

Security forces and ambulances rushed to the scene of the blast, he added.

Separately, a car bombing targeted the convoy of Al-Anbar police chief in Ramadi, local and security sources said.
