Battles against Daesh in Mosul to end next month

Iraqi military sources said the western side of Mosul under control of the terrorist Daesh group has shrunk to only 5%.

The military sources were quoted by Al Arabiya Al Hadath news channel as saying Sunday the battle against the terrorist group will be over by the first half of next month.

Joint Iraqi troops have started a new operation to restore the last three neighborhoods in western Mosul from the hands of Daesh, namely Al Shifaa, Al Zanjili and Al Seha Al Oula to siege the old city where narrow and branched allies could be the center stage of the last battles with Daesh in Iraq.

The Iraqi forces have taken control of the third bridge that links Tigris and International Mosul Hotel in Al Shifaa neighborhood after fierce clashes between the two sides.
