An explosive device placed near one of a residential buildings in Kut-Alhajjaj district of central Basra province went off yesterday evening without causing human losses .

A security source said to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / : " A powerful local-made bomb exploded in front of a civil apartment building caused only material damage without casualties.
