At least twelve people were killed and thirty otherswounded in a blast targeting a train at southwestern Pakistani provinceBalochistan''''s railway station on Tuesday.According to security officials, the blast occurred in Rawalpindi-bound Jaffar expresswhen it reached Sibi from Quetta setting it on fire and destroying one bogie. FederalMinister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique confirmed that twelve people had diedin the blast, adding that the involvement of a woman was suspected in the incident.Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that over 20 people have beeninjured in the attack and shifted to Civil Hospital Sibi. The rescue teams and securityforces immediately reached the site of the incident. The victims included women andchildren and some critical patients were shifted to provincial capital Quetta. Anemergency was imposed at Civil Hospital Sibi and government ordered a probe intothe incident.The blast came a day after the security forces killing of thirty militants duringoperations in Kalat and Khuzdar districts of the province. Balochistan has beenfacing militants'''' insurgency, blasts, kidnappings and violence for over a decade.
