At least five insurgents were killed and three others injured in exchange of fire with security forces in southwestern Pakistan on Saturday morning, local media reported. Samaa TV said that the clash took place when the paramilitary Frontier Constabulary conducted a search operation at suspected militants hideouts in Chahsar area in Turbat district in Balochistan province. Some unknown militants opened fire at the troops who returned fire and shot dead five militants. The troops also arrested eight suspects who were taken into custody for investigations. The forces also seized weapons from the possession of the militants.
