US drone strike

At least four people were killed on Saturday evening when a U.S. drone launched an attack in Pakistan's northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan, local media reported.
According to the reports, the attack took place at 8.10 p.m. ( local time) when a U.S. pilotless aircraft fired two missiles at a vehicle in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, Pakistan's restive tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
The vehicle was destroyed completely and all four person onboard were killed on spot.
Identities of the killed people have not been known yet, however, some reports said the killed persons were the members of a militant group.
The U.S. pilotless planes kept on hovering over the area after the attack that created panic among the locals.
This is the 15th U.S. drone strike since the beginning of this year. At least 105 people have reportedly been killed in such strikes in Pakistan.
The attack came at a time when the Pakistani army is launching a major military operation in North Waziristan which is believed to be a safe haven of the Pakistani Taliban.
