Yemen\'s foreign debt has stepped up to over $7.2 billion in January 2013, with an increase of $1.1 billion from January 2012, Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) said Sunday. A report issued by CBY showed that the IFC\'s institutions got the lion\'s share of the debt, with Yemen owing them about $3.5 billion. Yemen\'s debt for the Paris Club Members came second of Yemen creditors by around $1.7 billion, with $1.1 billion in Russian loans. The country\'s debt for other creditors amounted to nearly $1.5 billion, according to the report, which also mentioned a debt of $510 million for unidentified sources.
