The unemployment rate in Britain eased back to 8 percent from 8.2 percent in the second quarter, the Office for National Statistics said Wednesday. Compared with the first quarter, 46,000 fewer people were unemployed April through June with 2.56 million people now listed as unemployed, ONS said. Total pay, including bonuses, rose 1.6 percent from the second quarter of 2011. Excluding bonuses, pay rose by 1.8 percent from the same three months of 2011.
