Senate President Taher Masri on Tuesday discussed with Vice President of the World Bank WB Nemat Shafik prospects for closer cooperation between Jordan and the world financial institution. During the meeting, attended by Finance minister Suleiman al Hafez and head of the Senate financial and economic committee Rajai Muasher, Masri hailed World Bank support of the Kingdom\'s national economic reform programme to enable it address the economic challenges it is facing. Shafik said the WB is keen on boosting cooperation to help Jordan upgrade technical potentials, achieve progress and build the necessary institutional capacity.
