Jordan and Germany will signed next Monday two agreements on technical and financial cooperation under which the Jordanian Government will receive $99 million Euros, according to the German Embassy in Amman. In a press release issued on Saturday, the embassy said that cooperation in the development field is a key element in Jordanian-German ties, adding that the funds will be allocated to serve the water sector by improving drinking water supplies, reducing water loss and developing the sewerage system. The funds will also be used to carry out other projects such as building schools and implementing climate protection and energy efficiency initiatives. The agreements, which resulted from talks between the two countries last December, will be signed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan and German Ambassador to Jordan Ralph Tarraf.
