A joint venture between Tunisia and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to support needy rural communities in achieving food security in Tunisia was announced here today.The joint venture, which was discussed during a meeting held today between Tunisian Minister of Agriculture and Tourism Mohammed bin Salim and official in charge of the World Food Programme’s (WFP) Office in Tunisia Maria Lukyanova, will benefit about 24 thousand families, representing 132 000 people in five interior Tunisian provinces.The implementation of the project requires a total budget of USD 7.42 million of which USD five million dollars will be provided by the Tunisian government
