Japan\'s industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 1.8 percent in October from the previous month for the first rise in four months, according to government data released on Friday. The index of output at factories and mines stood at 88.1 against the base of 100 for 2005, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said in a preliminary report. The index of industrial shipments remained at 87.6 from the previous month while that of inventories advanced 0.3 percent to 108.1.
