Some 17,798 tons of commodities, worth $8.671mln, were exported from Maragheh in the Northwestern province of East Azarbaijan during the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2013), a report said on Sunday. Managing-Director of provincial customs office Heidar Jalalzadeh said the goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Armenia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Australia, Afghanistan, UAE, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Georgia, Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan. Glass, mirror, sodium carbonate, fertilizer, heater, raisins, dates and fruit juice were among major exported items, he added, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
