LMRA CEO Osama Al-Absi emphasized that the LMRA opts to introduce a new system which gives privileges to establishments that employ Bahraini citizens depending on the type of job and the amount of salary payable to hired Bahrainis and not just Bahrainization figures in an organization. Al-Absi told Al-Ayam daily newspaper that the new system is likely to be endorsed within the foreseeable period which is an optional system aimed at granting privileges to organizations which provide high profile jobs to Bahraini citizens, lucrative remuneration and not just to fill a specific number of slots with Bahraini employees. Al-Absi anticipated that the services and tourism sector shall provide technically-natured job opportunities and obtain the lion\'s share in terms of such privileges through boosting of job opportunities for Bahraini citizens in this sector. Al-Absi said that the next stage focuses on the quality of jobs and lucrative salaries payable to Bahraini citizens before granting privileges to organizations to recruit expatriate manpower whilst making sure that highly remunerative jobs should be retained for Bahraini citizens through the new optional system which we do not impose on firms as it is optional.
