The Bangladeshi government is keen to send tens of thousands of workers to Libya after the death of Muammar Gaddafi, a minister said here Sunday. Bangladesh\'s Expatriates\' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister, Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, told reporters that \"we\'ve already made contact with the transitional authorities of Libya.\" He expressed, \"we would be able to send tens of thousands of workers as there is a need of huge work force to rebuild war-torn Libya.\" The Bangladeshi government had earlier estimated some 60,000 citizens of the South Asian country in Libya when the rebellion against Gaddafi broke out early this year. Nearly 36,000 Bangladeshis reportedly returned home from Libya after violence worsened. Bangladesh on Oct. 13 officially recognized the National Transitional Council (NTC) as the interim authority of Libya. In a statement the country\'s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Bangladesh stood ready to support Libya\'s reconstruction process in the interest of a brighter future for the brotherly people of Libya.
