The U.S. dollar climbed against most major currencies Friday amid thin trading volume following Christmas holiday.
In late New York trading, the euro declined to 1.2176 dollars from 1.2219 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 120.39 Japanese yen, higher than 120.15 yen of the previous session.
