Tokyo stocks opened higher on Thursday amid a weakening yen which lifted investors'sentiment over export-oriented shares. At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 107.23 points, or 0.67 percent, from Wednesday to 16,117.22, the highest intraday level since November 2007. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 9.68 points, or 0.77 percent, at 1,267. 86.
