Tokyo stocks fall

Tokyo stocks ended 1.25 percent lower in the morning session of Wednesday following overnight declines on Wall Street.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average moved 260.82 points lower, from Tuesday to 20,581.15. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 18.82 points, or 1. 12 percent, to 1,655.06.

Decliners were led by mining, financing business and banking issues.
