Tokyo stocks ended sharply lower in the morning session of Wednesday with the yen's appreciation against the U.S. dollars. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 322.96 points, or 2.05 percent, from Tuesday to 15,426.70. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 18.32 points, or 1.45 percent, to 1, 244.22.
