Tokyo stocks ended 0.74 percent higher in the morning session Tuesday on the back of the yen's weakening trend. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 111.33 points, from Monday to 15,231.47. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 6.67 points, or 0.54 percent, at 1,234. 28. The gain was led by insurance, oil and coal, and paper and pulp shares.
