Tokyo stocks ended 0.69 percent higher Tuesday on the back of the yen's weakening trend. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 103.97 points, from Monday at 15,224.11. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 5.6 points, or 0.46 percent, at 1,233. 21. The gain were led by insurance, oil and coal, and paper and pulp shares. The turnover was 1685.3 billion yen (about 16.31 billion U.S. dollars).
