Tokyo shares

Tokyo shares ended the morning session lower on Monday, weighed down by sentiment of locking in recent gains and the yen's slight advance against the U.S. dollar.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average declined 122.28 points, or 0. 72 percent, from Friday to 16,758.10.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 5.71 points, or 0.42 percent, at 1, 357.96.
Decliners were led by precision instruments, communications and metal products issues.
