Tokyo stocks lost ground by ending the morning session Friday with early gains erased amid a stop on the yen's further weakening and sluggish Asian stock markets. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 99.67 points, or 0.69 percent, from Thursday to end the morning session at 14,435.07. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 11.68 points, or 0.97 percent, at 1, 188.06. Decliners were led by real estate, brokerage, and paper and pulp issues, while gainers included insurance, oil and coal, and information and communication shares.
