Tokyo shares

Tokyo shares ended the morning session higher Wednesday on an upbeat U.S. economy growth data for the third quarter and the Dow Jones Industrial Average's close at a record high.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average jumped 199.72 points, or 1. 13 percent, higher from Monday to 17,834.86.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 12.35 points, or 0.87 percent, to 1, 425.40.
Gainers were led by land transport, chemical and automaker issues.
The market was closed on Tuesday for a national holiday.
