Tokyo shares ended the morning session slightly lower Tuesday. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average inched down 42.16 points, or 0.28 percent, from Monday to 14,785.67. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 3.51 points, or 0.29 percent, to 1, 199.38. Decliners were led by utility, oil and coal, and paper and pulp shares, while gainers included agriculture and fishery, construction, and shipping sectors.
