Tokyo shares

Tokyo shares ended Tuesday lower with traders here were disappointed by the Bank of Japan's deputy chief's remark on difficulty in achieving inflation target.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 58.81 points, or 0.38 percent, from Monday at 15,329.91.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 2.28 points, or 0.18 percent, at 1, 252.00.
Decliners were led by nonferrous metal, oil and coal products and mining issues.
The turnover was about 1,695.6 billion yen (about 15.71 billion U.S. dollars).
