Tokyo issues ended the morning session higher on Wednesday on gains in the overnight U.S. market boosted by upbeat U.S. economic data. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average inched 6.55 points, or 0.04 percent, from Tuesday to 14,643.07. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 2.26 points, or 0.19 percent, to 1,197. 37. Gainers were led by insurance, fishery and agriculture, as well as construction issues.
