South Korean stocks

South Korean stocks ended lower Friday as institutions continued their net selling streak while foreigners helped curb some of the losses, analysts said. The won firmed against the U.S. dollar.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost 7.22 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 2,068,54. Trading volume was light at 296.7 million shares worth 3.9 trillion won (US$3.8 billion), with losers beating gainers 500 to 317.
