A total of 2 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 980.3 million Singapore dollars (771.9 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 231 to 195, while 525 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 12.86 points, or 0.4 percent, to close at 3, 236.06 on Friday.
