Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 57.93 point, or 1.81 percent, to close at 3,251.78. A total of 5.55 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 2. 14 billion Singapore dollars (1.72 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 377 to 144, while 432 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 12.93 points, or 0.41 percent, to close at 3,193.85 on Wednesday.
