Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 39. 85 points, or 1.20 percent, to close at 3,272.62.
A total of 1.54 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 26 billion Singapore dollars (1.01 billion U.S. dollars).
Losers led gainers 396 to 87, while 456 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 33.08 points, or 0.99 percent, to close at 3, 312.47 on Monday.
