Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 8.30 point, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,078.72. A total of 2.75 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 62 billion Singapore dollars (1.33 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 331 to 153, while 473 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 40.28 points, or 1.33 percent, to close at 3,070.42 on Friday.
