Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 24.34 points, or 0.77 percent, to close at 3,191.08. A total of 1.96 billion shares changed hands on turnover of 1. 02 million Singapore dollars (818.0 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 228 to 204, while 521 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 13.51 point, or 0.42 percent, to close at 3, 166.74 on Wednesday.
