A total of 4.33 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 29 billion Singapore dollars (1.03 billion US dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 277 to 189, while 487 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 14.25 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 3, 237.53 on Friday.
