Singapore stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 18. 01 points, or 0.59 percent, to close at 3,088.79. A total of 2.11 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 10 billion Singapore dollars (874.6 million U.S. dollars). Gainers led losers 218 to 190, while 532 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 1.50 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 3,070.78 on Tuesday.
