Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 16.45 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 3,188.62. A total of 2.16 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 25 billion Singapore dollars (992 million U.S. dollars). Gainers led losers 226 to 158, while 562 others finished unchanged. The STI index up 9.71 points, or 0.31 percent, to close at 3, 172.17 on Friday.
