Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 14.14 points, or 0.45 percent, to close at 3,167.43. A total of 2.95 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 22 billion Singapore dollars (968 million U.S. dollars). Gainers led decliners 206 to 163, while 577 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 3.53 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 3,153.29 on Monday.
