Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 8.38 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,135.49. A total of 3.4 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 825 million Singapore dollars (650 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 245 to 169, while 531 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 1.54 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 3, 143.87 on Friday.
